"THE MOST IMPORTANT IS THE CONCEPT OF"-INTERVIEW WITH WOJTEK WOJTCZAKIEM

In Poland there are only a few companies that allow for creative work. The rest is expected from the photographers to be good technically and do "kaszany"-the work and the true nature of the stock market fashion talk with Wojtek Wojtczakiem.

Hi, Wojtek. Even though you're a recognizable figure in the world of Polish photography brands, you won't find too much information about you. Tell me, how did your adventure with fashion photography?

Wojtek Wojtczak: you know what ... started from taking pictures (laughs). For me, the whole family worked in fashion, so I came to this kind of naturally. Of course not immediately. I started photography itself but it was thick in their thirties. I was with her before, but never like I tried to do so "professionally". Always moving at close to the fashion and fashion photography was a consequence of this. Moreover, only the photograph I understood. No other then me interested.

And what exactly has decided that you have decided to take a fashion photography seriously? If it was a session that has had an impact on the development of your career?

Yes, it was one of the first session-that deepened into the fact that I chose this path. I photographed Anna Rubik-then still actually an unknown model. Before her trip to Paris we did a commercial session and it was so good, that later these pictures found their way to its portfolio in the agencies in the United States and Paris. Were so interesting that part works a few Western photographers. It was a signal for me, it's probably for this that I might want to go in this direction.

By reviewing your profile on Facebook, we can see that you shoot mainly bezlusterkowcem. In Poland there is a perception that such devices are not suitable for professional work. How is it in fact? It is possible to work in a bezlusterkowcem fashion?

Of course. At this time, due to the fact that everything moves in the direction of electronic media, the size of the matrices are no longer have such importance as it used to be. Since analog I happened to go except by all the size of the matrices and the kinds of cameras-DSLRs, średnioformatowe, large format cameras and everything else. Today, because of the cost savings and the convenience of bezlusterkowce works very well and meet all requirements. On other cameras don't work. Besides, nowadays the same printed images-at least from a commercial site-doing a lot less. The exception may be the nature of the exhibition, but stuff like this in principle. Really, now these cameras not subside lustrzankom. What is the meaning of have so wysokorozdzielcze cameras, which in recent months are a hot topic on the forums?

Generelanie, if someone wants to go somewhere to expose, make very large prints, then maybe this is some sense instead of pictures of 30 x 40 cm, do a print out 50 x 70 cm-this is actually the only difference. Sometimes training I mention that today are great magnifiers that really give advice in such situations. Of course, I am not a fan of artificial zooming, but above all it is interesting to note that that snapshot has a 50 x 70 cm, does not make her better than this. Of course, there are artists who sell prints in the size 2 x 3 m, but in such cases, these photos and so will not be made for this type of cameras. Such a thing is done on large format cameras, usually with traditional methods. The main question is how much of this resolution it is actually in use. When zaczynałęm shoot for newspapers, photos it was cameras 12-hundred, and even 8-megapikselowymi.

Give advice? This of course was not what it should be, but all cameras over 12-16 megapixels, it is sufficient for the newspaper-printing apparatus. Well, unless someone is going to crop 1/4 of the photos, but it means that you do not have a clue about what he's doing. High resolution give a certain reserve, because then you can something you cut in several ways, but as someone knows what he's doing, it's not going to be him.

How would you rate the Polish market of fashion photography? There are some interesting trends?

"Polish market fashion photography" is quite boisterous. It is only a few companies, which in terms of style, selection of photos on a decent, level, and allow myself to have any new trends. The rest is very classic, I would say even that conservative and even catalogue. In turn, the market for newsprint, which should be support for avant-garde photographers, actually does not exist, outside of some niche releases. The titles that lead to this type of newspaper market Gala and Flash. They are based on celebrity gossip and there style of shooting is the same for years. The Lady in the picture must look nice, be evenly lit and well treated in Photoshop. So fashion photography can better find on the Internet?

It seems to me that way. Online fashion market WINS, everything comes up right away. The newspaper has a minimum weekly, and time
